The Nature Fakers In-Person
In the early 20th Century, President Theodore Roosevelt and writer John Burroughs lead a campaign against several prominent nature writers, describing them as frauds and fakers who invented the bogus stories they told. A major controversy arose when the books in question were used as required reading in schools. Join us for this surprising, informative, and often humorous talk led by environmental historian Dr. Ralph Lutts. 410-641-0650.
